SUSTAINABILITY CONSULTANT, ACCENTURE

Throughout the last few months I have been working with companies to reduce their carbon footprint and taking a more active role in client management to ensure we are solving their problems when it comes to climate disclosure.

In this role I started delegating tasks and taking more of an active role in managing analyses of projects. I also learnt to use Alteryx to harness the power of data.

In this role I calculated carbon footprints for companies ranging from small businesses to global companies and verified footprints for disclosure.

ONSHORE WIND FARM STUDENT PLACEMENT, E.ON

July 2019 - September 2019

I explored batteries as a project for wind farms and made a financial model to present the project to managers at E.ON to help make future decisions. I also went on field trips to various energy plants at E.ON with the other undergraduates.

JUNIOR DEBT INSIGHTS TEAM ANALYST SUMMER PLACEMENT, E.ON

August 2018 - November 2018

Throughout this experience I learnt to use SQL to gather data on customers and optimize debt systems in E.ON UK. Utilising mobile technology, I conducted a trial to test hypothesis and presented findings to manager board at E.ON.​


UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANT, UCL

April 2018 - June 2018

I designed and built a biotechnological machine contributing to the research of Dr Torii at UCL. This developped my programming experience using LabVIEW and myRIO system. The machine was designed to compress stem cells using centrifugal force. I implemented a hall effect rotary sensor to improve accuracy of measurements and an easy-to-use interface for research and data collection.

PRESIDENT, UCL WOMENS ENGINEERING SOCIETY

June 2017 - May 2018

I was responsible for running and organising the events. I created links with the industry so that our members were offered career advice and volunteering. I also partnered with a school in Ghana to offer a mentoring scheme. I also joined with Work Ready Graduates to offer our members free online courses.
Further, I worked on a series of podcasts for our members to give young graduates answers on how to be authentic and promote themselves both in the workplace and in life.

VOLUNTEERING

October 2019 - May 2020

GREEN IMPACT PROJECT ASSISTANT

I volunteered to help a department at UCL take steps towards acheiving their Bronze level Green impact and make their offices more sustainable. This varied from leading initiatives and designing new screensavers to remind office-workers to turn off their PC.

HEAD OF MATHS AND PHYSICS SOCIETY

I was appointed head of the most popular society at school. I organised talks from both students and university lecturers and held the talks and discussions with 30+ people every friday lunchtime.

PHYSICS MENTOR

This involved many meetings at lunchtime where I would help a year 11 girl to pass her physics GCSE where she struggled. This involved more of a Q&A session with me answering all her questions and helping her approach the exam in the best possible manner.

September 2013 - July 2014

MATHS TUTOR

I extended 3 particularly gifted Year 6 students in maths for an hour each week. I organised different maths problems and puzzles and communicated to them how apart from being fun maths was also useful. The problems I chose had some practical elements as well as teaching them further maths beyond their curriculum. By the end they had mastered all the topics I had put forward.
